Solbrinken Ordinary House is beautiful in its simplicity! This wood panelled house in Nacka -near Stockholm- is designed by Swedish studio In Praise of Shadows
The family house comes with a detached artist studio and gives the owners their biggest desire: their own private world. The buildings are located between the forest and a former garden. There is a visual connection between the double height kitchen and the studio. Light falls in through the windows at both ends of the house and creates extended rooms with nature.
The material palette for the house and studio has been kept simple and durable.... concrete floors, mdf kitchen and the exterior wood panel has been painted in black oil. And with eye for details and colours this house is made a home to long for.
